The author of the blog is not actually an unemployed alcoholic (though drinking beer is a delightful habit that I thoroughly enjoy, it is NOT an addiction). Outside of my strong affection for fine ales, I enjoy playing sports, exploring the beautiful outdoors, fine cinema, web development, internet media management, motivational literature, CC Catch, Duran Duran, Modern Talking, Chris Rea, David Bowie, food and water, sometimes sex, downtown nightlife, traveling and exploring, among many other things… struggling to discover my purpose in life. This blog is a compilation of thoughts, feelings, and just about anything that comes to mind as I write… In life, I seek happiness, success, freedom, and durable fulfillment. I believe that I am well on my way to discovering all 4 and integrating them into every waking moment of my life. This blog is meant to be a partial record of my journey as well. I expect my writing to read more or less like a “stream of consciousness” essay, most of which will probably be written in a state of extreme inebriation. I will write about what I like, what excites me, and what I am most interested in. Most posts will be serious discourses on important world issues, mostly affecting the industries within the field of information technology. Other posts will be depressing rants about how much life sucks (everyone needs an outlet every once in a while, this blog is one of mine). Some posts will be poor attempts at humor and satire. To be safe, I would recommend the reader to not take anything I write too seriously, and feel free to assume that the entire blog is a joke (that’s what life is, is it not?).

One more thing. I hate proofreading, so expect lots of gramer and 3pe11ing errors in this blog.

Praise and criticism are equally welcome.

Yeah! Well I am an unemployed alcoholic. Let me tell you, it’s not really funny but I celebrate your right to make a big joke out of it.

I think you can be whatever you want to be in life. I am not making fun of unemployed alcoholics. Though I am not one myself, I do not judge others by the lifestyles they choose to lead. It is simply the name of my blog, that is all.

I should also say that if you do want a job, alcoholism should not stop you. Most people are addicted to a variety of things, including substances, emotions (also substances by extension, chemicals released by the brain), and other people. In my opinion, liquor is by far not the worst thing to be addicted to. If alcoholics looking to build a better life for themselves do wander onto this blog and read this message, let it be a message of hope and help.

Be well.
