Most recent high-ticket (maybe highest yet) sale: Fund.com for $10M

Is pharmacy.com next in line? Maybe? Yes? I do hope so… another 8 digit sale would really start turning some heads on Wall Street, and then some!

The fact is, there are still unexplored niches and uncharted territories. No one has yet come up with a good semantic algorithm for identifying unregistered domain names with great potential. Example: Not an hour ago, I was able to grab PartyMoscow.com and PartyTokyo.com Not bad for a nights work, eh? I just hope most of the business world still speaks English a decade or so down the line when it comes time to sell these properties.

Opportunities still exist. It is not too late to get in, build a strong backbone for your portfolio with 2 to 3 word meaningful combinations of dot coms, which in my inexpert opinion is the best place to start… I do believe, however, that us domainers will very soon be given recognition as the world’s information stewards of our time. The way I see it, there are two sorts of information functions in the world. The first one is bullshit generators. The second one is bullshit aggregators. Ah, I forget… There is a third category: Bullshit processors. Now, as a domain owner and developer, I consider myself of the second sort. And if you can, in addition to aggregating this bullshit, give it structure and categorize it in a way that can be useful to the bullshit processors, you are clearly adding value to society. Does this make sense? I mean, God knows the bullshit generators are doing a hell of a job, and the processors are getting pretty overwhelmed, making the need for appropriate structure ever more dire. Is this not correct? If you have not caught on yet, these ideas are directly linked to unlocking the full potential of every domain name portfolio.
